With a newly elected executive board the Collaborative Research Center initiates the preparation of the follow-up proposal. The new spokesperson team is formed by the psychologist Prof. Dr. Bertolt Meyer and the engineer Prof. Dr. Olfa Kanoun.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September 2022, the members of the Collaborative Research Center Hybrid Societies spent three days at \u2018Burg Warberg\u2019 in order to work intensively on the proposal for the second funding phase. During the meeting, a new executive board was elected, which is now mandated with selecting sub-projects for the proposal, further developing the core topic of the research cluster and drafting a vision for the upcoming four years of interdisciplinary research on hybrid societies. This interdisciplinary character of the CRC will particularly be depicted in the board further on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new spokesperson of the Collaborative Research Center is Prof. Dr. Bertolt Meyer<\/a>, professor for Work, Organizational and Economic Psychology at Chemnitz University of Technology and principal investigator in the project “TechnoSapiens: Perceptions and Stereotyping of Bionic Body Restoration and Augmentation”. As vice speaker, the CRC members elected Prof. Dr. Olfa Kanoun<\/a>, professor for Electrical Measurements and Sensor Technology and principal investigator in the project “Customized Body-attached Sensor Network for Real-Time Motion Sensory Information”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further members of the board are Prof. Dr. Angelika Bullinger-Hoffmann<\/a> (Professorship of Ergonomics and Innovation Management), Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Einh\u00e4user-Treyer <\/a>(Professorship of Physics of Cognitive Processes) and Prof. Dr. Martin Gaedke <\/a>(Professorship of Distributed and Self-organizing Systems) as leaders of the subprojects, Prof. Dr. Anja Strobel<\/a> (Professorship of Personality Psychology and Assessment) as representative of the integrated research training group (MGK), Dr. Jana Bressem<\/a> (Head of the Center for Gesture Studies and Speech Sciences) as equal opportunities representative and Giuseppe Sanseverino<\/a>, M. Sc. (PhD student at the professorship of Sports Equipment and Technology) as representative of the early career researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essential course set for CUT’s core competency \u201cHumans and Technology\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. G<\/a>e<\/a>org Jahn<\/a>, professor for Applied Geropsychology and Cognition and former spokesperson of the Collaborative Research Centre, will play a leading role in the planned Central Institution “Humans and Technology”. Alongside the CRC Hybrid Societies, this forms one of the pillars for the core area of competence “Humans and Technology”, which is flourishing at the TU Chemnitz.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
