Experimental tasks involve the encoding of locations, self-motion in virtual reality setups that induce strong presence (including industrial scenarios), and tests for the updating of egocentric location representations. Participants perform pointing and triangle completion tasks. The self-motion is either merely simulated translation or real combined with simulated self-motion, or real self-motion (redirected walking).
